Giving Tuesday

Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday!

In the U.S., we’re known for some things we’re proud of…and some things we might not be so proud of!

On Black Friday—the Friday after Thanksgiving—we’re known for climbing over each other in the name of consumerism. Stores open earlier and earlier and offer once-a-year deals to grab your business. Cyber Monday is the online equivalent after Black Friday, when many people begrudgingly return to work only to shop for deals on the web!

Whether we celebrate these wallet-emptying days or not, there is a follow-up to these that everyone can get behind: Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is the ultimate day of giving, a time for us to set records for generosity rather than product sales. Practicing generosity with others leaves you with lasting, warm and fuzzy feelings, because you are investing in making your community stronger. If you’re an American, you’re also impressing the world and supporting a positive stereotype with your charity!

Beyond the warm and fuzzies, investing in PSDP on Giving Tuesday enables relief for individuals and the many people in their networks. When you enable us to expand our resources and reach, we can relieve the pressure your friends and neighbors may suffer because someone in their lives isn’t getting the help they need.

Please answer Brad’s Question on Giving Tuesday, and let’s proudly break generosity records. We are all stronger together.
